Overview
Kade Weathers
At its core, workers’ compensation defense is about solving problems. I focus on understanding the issue, finding the right path forward, and helping clients move through the process with clarity and confidence so that their business operations are impacted as minimally as possible.
Kade Weathers practices workers’ compensation defense at Wallace Mann Capener Bishop & Debney, P.C., where he represents businesses and employers with a focused, solutions-driven approach. Known for his sharp analytical instincts and direct style, Kade approaches each case as a problem to be solved, working through complex legal issues with precision and clarity.
Kade’s path to the legal profession was shaped by experience rather than a single defining moment. Before law school, he worked across a wide range of roles and industries, consistently observing one common thread. When challenges escalated and outcomes mattered, attorneys were the ones stepping in to resolve the issue. That realization drew him toward a career where he could operate in that same space, helping clients navigate difficult situations with confidence and control.
He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School, where he was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship and distinguished himself early in his legal training as the Best Oral Advocate in his first-year moot court competition. His academic background in philosophy, with an emphasis in logic and applied philosophy, continues to influence how he approaches the law. He is drawn to the structure of legal reasoning, the challenge of interpreting complex rules, and the process of building clear, defensible arguments.
During law school, Kade gained hands-on experience working closely with general counsel at The Partners Group. There, he researched and drafted memoranda on corporate, insurance, and compliance issues, developed internal policies, and managed a wide range of contracts. His work required both independence and exactitude, reinforcing his ability to quickly assess issues and deliver practical, actionable solutions.
In his current practice, Kade is drawn to the fast-moving, detail-oriented nature of workers’ compensation defense. He enjoys diving into case law, identifying the key issues, and finding the right answer for his clients. His approach balances efficiency with thoroughness, allowing him to move matters forward while maintaining a strong command of the details.
Outside the Office
Outside of his practice, Kade spends as much time as possible outdoors. He is an avid golfer and disc golfer and co-founded Lewis & Clark Law School’s first golf club, where he served as Vice President. He also has a strong background in athletics, including lacrosse, where he helped lead his high school team to its first championship and continues to play in men’s leagues. In the winter, he takes advantage of opportunities to ski, and year-round he enjoys staying active and engaged.
